Celebrating 20 Years

In 2002, Sally and Lee Posey wanted to help young women succeed. Over the next 20 years, many more joined the effort. Today, thanks to all of you, more than 3,000 alumnae have graduated, with college acceptance in hand, from some of the best public schools in Texas. And, 5,000+ will join them in the next few years. Every girl carries the hopes and dreams of her family and community, strong enough to succeed, because of the education and opportunities she received at YWPN schools.

Each of our campuses emphasize leadership development that awakens and strengthens the moral compass within each of our students. The multiple and varied opportunities enable young women to become responsible and accountable decision makers.

The impact the YWPN Model has on public education has many components including leading campus-wide leadership development among administrators, teachers, College Success Advisors, counselors, and students. We provide guidance and support in establishing an Advisory Council for each school and we provide targeted resources in response to specific individual campus needs.

We are excited to kick-off a year-long celebration of our 20th anniversary of educating young women in our communities.
