The YWPN educational model works! We are proud to announce that all six of our eligible network schools have been ranked in the top 100 High Schools in Texas by US News and World Report. In addition, the Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School in Dallas, Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders in Austin, and the Young Women’s Leadership Academy in San Antonio received Gold Medal Awards. Only 2% of the schools received this distinction. Also, the Margaret Talkington School For Young Women Leaders in Lubbock, Young Women’S College Prep Academy in Houston, and Young Women’s Leadership Academy in Fort Worth were awarded Silver medals. Only 11% of schools received Silver medal distinction. The U.S. News rankings include data on more than 20,500 public schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Schools were awarded gold, silver or bronze medals based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college.
