The Ysleta Young Women’s Leadership Academy (YWLA) is West Texas’ first all-girls, college preparatory public school. Our mission is to equip young women with the academic knowledge and leadership skills they need to succeed in college and in life.

In partnership with the Young Women’s Preparatory Network, YWLA provides students with a rigorous STEAM curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) and emphasizes core values such as responsible leadership, college and career readiness, and wellness. Our ultimate goal is for every YWLA scholar to attend and graduate from college.

At YWLA, we prepare our students to lead with confidence, contribute meaningfully to their communities, and become agents of transformation in their own lives and beyond. Our mascot, the Transformer, reflects our commitment to transforming the lives of young female leaders, strengthening our community, and redefining the possibilities of education.
