(Dallas, Texas, January 21, 2016) – The Young Women’s Preparatory Network (YWPN) has announced that Claire Manigold has been hired as the Chief Financial Officer.
Previously, Manigold worked as the controller for The Crystal Charity Ball, where she managed all financial aspects of this prestigious nonprofit. She retired from the organization to spend time with her new grandchild before CEO, Lynn McBee, lured her out of retirement to join YWPN.
McBee said, “I’ve known Claire for years through Crystal Charity Ball, and she is a consummate professional with the skillset we need. She will help us as we expand our network of public schools, so that we can provide the enhancements needed to help even more students.”
She will be the first CFO for YWPN, and will be instrumental in the growth and development of the organization as it continues to expand, having just added another school to the Network in El Paso for the 2016-2017 school year. Her experience and passion for the work will be invaluable, as she assumes this role.
Manigold has served as a Division Controller for Trammell Crow Company and a senior accountant for Arthur Andersen & Co. She has also held positions as a success planner to provide career and college assessment services for high school students, an executive recruiter and various sales roles. She has a passion for education and served as president and board member of Educational Opportunities, which provides college scholarships for low income students from Dallas magnet schools. She received a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting (Cum Laude) from the University of Mississippi.
YWPN network schools currently serve students in grades 6 through 12 on seven campuses across the state of Texas. YWPN’s results are amazing—100 percent of the girls graduate from high school and 100 percent are accepted into college. Sixty-eight percent of all students come from economically disadvantaged homes, and 68 percent of the Class of 2015 are first generation college students.

Founded in 2002, the Young Women’s Preparatory Network is a nonprofit agency that partners with public school districts across the state of Texas to operate the largest network of all-girls, public, college preparatory schools in the nation.
