The Young Women’s STEAM Academy (YWA) is the first single-gender campus in the El Paso Independent School District and part of the Young Women’s Preparatory Network.

Founded in 2017, YWA is a free, public college-preparatory school serving girls in grades 6-12. Our mission is to foster a culture that promotes:

We offer a rigorous STEAM curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) that emphasizes responsible leadership, college and career readiness, and wellness life skills.
Our goal is to ensure every student graduates prepared for college and beyond. Through academic excellence, extracurricular opportunities, and access to mentors and community partnerships, we empower our students to pursue STEAM careers and become confident, capable female leaders.
