sisterhoodAll-girls schools provide a unique opportunity for young women to form a bond of sisterhood. Our campuses are all small schools that educate and enrich students during their formative years (6th-12th grade). This shared experience allows our young women an opportunity to form special bonds with each other that extend beyond high school graduation. After many years of success, the power of the sisterhood bond continues to expand. Our young women have witnessed the achievements of their older sisters, and those experiences inspire them to blaze their own trails of success for their families and their communities.
“Sisterhood to me means a strong bond that we Rangel girls have created throughout the years at school. We pretty much grew up together from 7th grade till we graduated. We watch how we evolved from little girls to college girls and others to successful women. Being at a Young Women’s Prep school not only allowed us to receive a great education, send girls to college, network between our sisters schools, but also allows us to create sisters, friendships that last a lifetime.”
“Something special that made Rangel a unique place to receive my education is the unity that’s presented there. In my Class of 2014 unity was like a “No Sister Left Behind” Act and a strong support network of girls who truly care about you and want you to succeed. We pushed each other through it all – through both the good times and bad to make sure each and every one of us was successful. The beautiful thing I admire about this is also for the fact that when one of our sisters received a scholarship, internship, or anything that made them stand out, we celebrated as a class. Looking back even now I realize that the sisterhood we possessed is still alive today in my life – an intangible feeling that brings an abundance of comfort. My sisterhood with my sisters made my Rangel experience a memory worth remembering. In fact, the whole Young Women’s Prep network represents this bond and that is something truly amazing. I thank Young Women’s Prep for exposing me to so much talent and an intelligent group of young women who are goal-oriented. I am very grateful because I feel even more empowered to do what I want and to live life with no limits or constraints. Thank you.”
